About us
At Instinctive K9, our goal is to create a cohesive and enriching relationship with you and your dogs, to help your dog reach their potential. Meeting your goals and aspirations looks different for every owner, and for every dog. Our training is designed around that mentality. Every dog that has come through our programs has been trained differently. Some of those differences are minor, some are pretty significant. All are with the intention of doing what is best for you and your dog.
We have heard too often in the past, “my dog is untrainable”, or “we tried training before, but it just wasn’t working for us.” The goal of Instinctive K9 training is to modify each program, and find what works best for you. There are no cookie cutter programs here. While a lot of those programs can work to an extent and produce results, that doesn’t mean those plans can reach your dog’s furthest potential.

We use many different balanced training methods and practices, cultivated and adapted through years of experience. Every dog teaches us something new. It is our goal and responsibility as your trainer, to take all of that, and create the best curriculum we can.
Ultimately, we want to help you enrich your dog’s life in ways that you can enjoy and have fun with them. Whether this means helping you with off leash reliability, so you can take your pup hiking or camping and have less to worry about, or training scent detection or tracking as a fun way to mentally challenge your dog. Maybe you just want your dog to not be reactive, or pull on the leash so you can enjoy taking them for walks around the neighborhood.
